Band Day Public Input Meeting

Williston, N.D. – The public is invited to attend an informational meeting regarding Band Day 2016 this Monday, November 23, at the Williston ARC at 6pm.

The Williston Band Day Committee and Williston Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) are hosting a public meeting to formally announce next year’s guest bands and parade marshal. At this meeting, the public will have an opportunity to offer input about Band Day as a whole but in particular share ideas to enhance Band Day and give insights regarding the parade route. The CVB also hopes to bring awareness to opportunities the public has to be involved with this 80+ year annual event.   
            
Band Day 2016 is scheduled May 6-7, 2016. The festival traditionally occurs the Saturday of every Mother’s Day weekend, and is a community wide effort featuring a parade, classic car show, rodeo, stock car races and vendors in Harmon Park. In recent years, the festival has expanded to include a concert, supper and 5k run on the Friday of Mother’s Day weekend.
