Fair Time is the Best Time
The county fair brings such vivid memories: daring friends to go on certain rides, walking through the livestock barns to see the animals, fair food, watching the sun set on the midway as the seagulls dove for scraps in the parking lot. As a kid, even if we remembered nothing else to write about summer vacation on the first day back to school, we remembered going to the fair.

This year, the Upper Missouri Valley Fair will be held June 26-30. In addition to carnival rides and a wide assortment of fair food (which we will review on our Facebook page), fair goers can look forward to a dirt bike stunt show, a 9’ tall robot visiting the fairgrounds, live chainsaw wood carving, free live caricature drawings, turkey races, free concerts and many other fun activities. Check out the exhibit booths and have some cheese fries. And make sure you don’t miss a Williams County fair tradition: opening night with The Johnny Holm Band, 9p-1a.
